VISUAL IDENTITY
The exhibition had the support of Nouvel Studio and Grupo Pavisa, Mexican companies that integrate ultimate technology and artisanal blown glasswork.
With the aim of offering the visitor the possibility of perceiving the architecture of the MMR in a different way and discovering the artistic interpretation around various episodes of the Mexican Revolution, Andrés Mier y Terán presents 15 installations made up of metaphorical pieces of glass design that invite contemplation in a harmonious arrangement that shows the dichotomy between the fragility of the glass and the solidity of the monument’s "soul of steel".
Arranged on three levels of the building originally designed by architect Carlos Obregón Santacilia — on the foundation, the structure, and the viewpoint —, Mier and Terán’s work tell a story full of messages that appeal to the visitor's senses to generate an aesthetic experience that invites reflection on the concept of a constant and peaceful revolution.
