Nestled in the emerging San Rafael neighborhood of the Mexican capital, San Cosme pays tribute to the eclectic architecture of the Porfiriato era and crystallizes new peculiar ways of inhabiting space within innovative housing typologies that foster harmonious coexistence.

Tradition and avant-garde fuse together in this project that preserves the identity and historical legacy of an emblematic building from the 20th century.

The development –consisting of 106 apartments of different space distribution– respects the proportions, materials, heights, and original architectural composition and aesthetically incorporates an additional floor that houses complimentary amenities such as a swim lane with panoramic views, gym, wellness space, home office, and an event room.

The efficient space allocation of the loft apartment areas allows designing innovative interior environments that –for favoring a more dynamic flow between the kitchen, dining room, and living room– include elevated bedrooms and hidden furniture.

In the common areas, the different texture finishes –including jade green mosaic, beveled glass, natural woods, marble, and volcanic stone - build a balanced atmosphere.

Enriching and connecting with the neighborhood and its inhabitants, and combined with its residential purpose, San Cosme pays homage to the area’s storied commercial traditions through the creation of entry-level businesses.
